We create exceptional global events for the extraordinary

Nicole Ash

SENIOR EVENT CONSULTANT

Having spent over 7 years with Banana Split team, Nicole knows there is simply no such thing as an 'average day' in the events business. Her working week could see her spend a morning at her desk, an afternoon at a food tasting and an evening on a plane for an international site visit. While happy to plan events for all of Banana Split's clients, Nicole does have a particular love of parties for younger guests, never happier than when she has to sprinkle a little bit of Disney magic on proceedings. This lilt towards the planning of child-focused parties will surely see her in good stead, as she enters a new phase in her life, taking some time away after having her first child.

““We turned a hotel ballroom into an underwater wonderland, filling it with all-things Little Mermaid. It was wonderful!"”

Zara Askari

Feats seemingly impossible to the less logistically minded, such as organising lighting, sound and set design for some of the world's most talented recording artists, are nothing out of the ordinary for Zara. Joining us back in 2012, she also manages our on-site crews and the logistics for our elaborate temporary structures and installations. She is a highly adept problem solver and always has input in the overall event design process. In short Zara deals with the behind the scenes magic that makes a Banana Split event unique

Greg Barker

PRODUCTION MANAGER & CREW CHIEF

Having worked with Banana Split for over 18 years there's not much in the world of events that can phase Greg; his expert knowledge is brilliantly matched by his enthusiasm and passion for creating incredible events. Whether it's a party on an island or a wedding atop a Tuscan hill, Greg will be there with his unwavering will to astound Banana Split clients. When time permits Greg pursues his two great loves; photography and family.

“My favourite Banana event was a wedding in Italy for 200 guests, built on a hill-top football pitch! ”

Emily Cappezzone

Emily, the team's only French national, is currently studying for her Bachelor of the Arts in International events management at the European Business School London and spending her second summer working for us here at Banana Split. Learning on the go, Emily supports the team in a wide variety of ways, from speaking to suppliers, to travelling with senior members to international locations and assisting during events. We're very sure that there is more yet to come from this future star of the events world.

“'The most wonderful Banana Split event I have had the pleasure to see was an Indian wedding with 500 guests in southern France. It was more beautiful than I can describe'”

Deanna Giang

Having moved from Sydney and joining the team in 2016 Deanna is now feeling at home, both in London and in the Banana Split offices. Her working week is spent collaborating closely with Jamie and the team; speaking to clients and suppliers, finessing events, and making sure every on-the-day detail is taken care of. A globe trotter by nature, she fancies that her future in the event industry will one day take her back to sunnier climates – she looks forward to her first Banana Split event in LA. Outside of work things don't slow down for Deanna, as she tries to make the most of her move to Europe, seeing every country, city and town within the continent's bounds – the air-miles are racking up.

““We built a unique marquee on an ice-rink in Courchevel and filled it with over fifty acts and entertainers, there were figure skaters and singers, and even sumo wrestlers. The whole event was truly out of this world.””

David Godfrey

DIRECTOR & HEAD OF PRODUCTION

A man of many talents, David oversees the production of all Banana Split events. His 20-plus years in the events industry -over 15 of those spent with Banana Split- mean that he has extensive technical knowledge, both in the planning and the on-site execution phases of our events. David's free time is ideally spent in climes warmer than Britain, indulging his troublesome sweet tooth.

“My favourite banana Event was a 4 day birthday party in Mexico, 250 guests (and 750 staff!) ”

Gavin Halliday

Gavin has become an integral part of the Banana Split family, ensuring bills are paid, invoices are sent and everything finance related ticks along like clockwork. By his own admission, it's not the most glamorous role in the business but what it lacks in magic, it more than makes up for in importance. A recent arrival in London, Gavin has already established that there are far too many great restaurants in the city to judge them on culinary attainment alone, instead opting to rate them on their views – those in the Gherkin and the Shard are high in his estimations.

Cleo Harris-Seaton

Always full of ideas, Cleo has a background in set design and a passion for turning her creative ideas into a reality. Being a night owl she is often hit with inspiration during the early hours and sleeps with a sketch book at arm’s reach. Her days at Banana Split are spent working with the entire team on all projects bringing the ideas of our clients and events team together into cohesive and exciting designs. Her work spans from creating concept artwork and spatial designs to personalised logos for Bananas projects, assisting with the delivery of visually outstanding events. Outside of work Cleo enjoys losing herself in a piece of theatre, a good film or an exhibition and in her calmer moments, she indulges her passion for music whilst sitting in a café (preferably in some exotic part of the world) and reading.

Katie Jade

Katie has proven to be an indispensable part of the team and has now moved on to bigger things, becoming one of our Event Assistants. With an average day ranging from guest-list management and preparing for presentations, to venue research and 'mood-board' creation, Katie's days, like everyone else's in the office, are well and truly varied. Away from the coal-face, Katie is somewhat of a sushi junkie, and also has a penchant for all things gallery, museum and exhibition-related.

“My favourite Banana event was a 4 day Wedding in London, with a 24 hour Banana Split concierge for 700 guests! ”

Dave Johnson

Dave has been involved with Banana Split for a good number of years, first working with us on a freelance basis, he is now with us full time. He spends his days helping us to prepare for events, ensuring we have all that we require in order to turn dreams into reality.

“My favourite Banana Split event was a night club themed Barmitzvah where the walls and carpet were all boarded and grafitied at the Dorchester! ”

Charlotte Kent

Charlotte is well-versed in the events world, having spent over 6 years as an event planner prior to joining the team. Charlotte's dynamism is much appreciated both in the office, where she spends her days speaking to clients and planning events, and on site, where she ably assists with the management of events. Though not always destined for the events world, having studied law at Sussex University, she quickly found that the buzz of making a client's dream event come to life was simply too great to give up.

“'My favourite event so has to be a wedding wedding in Florence, it was genuinely unique and entirely surpassed our client's expectations'”

Priya Lalvani

Naturally organised, with a perfect pedigree of industry experience and creativity, Priya spends her days at Banana Split supporting Jamie and the team with their meticulous event planning; sourcing perfect suppliers, uncovering amazing venues, presenting to our clients and diligently orchestrating on-the-day events. After a day of pin-point planning, Priya loves nothing more than to indulge her love of sushi in any of London's many brilliant Japanese restaurants. If she wasn't an Event Consultant at Banana Split, Priya would almost certainly turn her attention to her far safer back-up career – aerial acrobatics.

““My favourite Banana Split event has to be the 50th Birthday Party in Courchevel, it was out of this world!””

Scott Malone

LIGHTING DESIGNER & PROGRAMMER

Scott joined Banana Split 11 years ago, after a short spell on work experience with us. Scott is part of what makes this team so special to the average event company; designing, planning, programming and setting up his unique array of lighting equipment for each of our incredible events – nothing so important would be outsourced by Banana Split. Scott, like so many hard working types considers sleep an indulgence and always has his next holiday booked in.

“My favourite Banana event was an intimate 50th birthday in the Maldives, for just 50 guests! ”

Julian Posner

Creating Banana Split over 40 years ago, Julian embodies the innovative beating heart of the now renowned company. He is still every bit as involved in the running of the company today as he was in those early days; pouring his creativity and attention to detail into every event we produce; 4 decades have done nothing to dull Julian's thirst for free-thinking and his passionate outlook. When his nose isn't to the grindstone -which really isn't very often at all- he is always on the move; climbing to Everest Base Camp isn't something many of us do in our 'downtime'.

“My favourite Banana event was a magical celebration in Venice for 100 guests where the venue was a palace and the mode of transport was gondolas – my wedding!”

Anthony Posner

Banana Split has always felt like a family affair but with Anthony on-board that feeling is made real. Anthony brings with him a wealth of experience and flair; he prides himself on his ability to seek out the perfect act for any event. He spends his days matching incredible Banana Split events with major international recording artists, DJs, cabaret acts, magicians, dancers and bands, ensuring every event is as special and unique as possible. When time allows Anthony indulges his twin-passions for travel and fine food - never happier than when he finds good food and even better views.

“My favourite Banana event was a Pool Party in Mexico where Bruno Mars performed while guests enjoyed the show from the swimming pool! ”

Ian Rothwell

WAREHOUSE & TRANSPORT MANAGER

Ian takes care of the often complex logistics of Banana Split events, ensuring the right equipment supplies head for the right destination. He is also responsible for the upkeep of our extensive wine cellar. Time off, for Ian, is best spent cooking great food -ideally comprising a good amount of cheese- and keeping fit. Few can claim to have lost an incredible 6 stone, a feat he numbers one of his highest.

“My favourite Banana event was a 50th Birthday in Cyprus, where all the guests were dressed in togas! ”

Nayna Shah

Nayna has been with us for much of this century and is as passionate about the business today as she ever was. Working alongside Gavin she keeps track of the company accounts. When she isn't cooking the books Nayna loves to cook vegetarian Indian food for her family and friends. In fact she is a fan of all things Indian and has a particular passion for Bollywood and its vivacious stars.

Jamie Simon

Enthusiasm abounds within Jamie, a man with over 15 years of event experience and a passion to match any. He thrives on the fast-paced atmosphere of the events industry. His never-say-die attitude is the driving force behind so many of Banana Splits ground-breaking events; he is endlessly proud of what the company achieves.

“My favourite Banana event was the launch of the W-Hotel in Singapore for 2000 guests, with entertainment from NY, LA and Japan! ”

Katie Sims

EVENT TEAM MANAGER & SENIOR EVENT CONSULTANT

An effortless multi-tasker, Katie has long been part of the Banana Split family - joining the team back in early 2005. Today, she not only manages the day-to-day workings of the event team -nurturing their talents and making sure each has a voice in the planning process- but also curates events for some of the company's most long-standing clients. Her job, in many respects, is to work with the team to ensure that our clients continue to be amazed each and every time they choose Banana Split.

““My favourite Banana event was a Children’s Charity Fundraiser, where we played a part in making a little girls dream come true - to sing with her Idol Jessie J. That little girls face, coupled with the emotion in the room at that moment is something I will never forget””

Meena Varsani

PA TO CEO & EVENT CONSULTANT

The fountain of all Banana Split-related knowledge Meena has been with us since 1997. She plans Julian's working life, ensuring he knows where he needs to be, what he needs to know and when he needs to be there. As if this wasn't enough Meena also acts as office manager and plans the odd party too – as and when time allows. In short she is the linchpin that holds the team together and keeps everything flowing smoothly. When she isn't at HQ Meena's life re-centres around her children, family and friends, sometimes she even turns her emails off – not often though.

Amy Velleman

Coming to Banana Split in 2011 Amy's career path took a turn for the exciting as she was able to leave the world of dull corporate events, within which she had operated for the previous six years. She loves the exhilaration of Banana Split events and their theatrics. Time off for Amy is best spent sea-side, laying on a beach cocktail in-hand, ideally well within the Tropics.

“My favourite Banana event was 10th Anniversary celebration at the Palace of Versailles, for 200 people, all dining on one long table! ”

Year's Best Cocktail Party Recipes

A good cocktail party means more than just excellent drinks—the snacks have got to be great, too. Here, a collection of our very favorite finger foods, from goat cheese crostini to crispy chickpeas.

Gin is mixed with violet liqueur in this easy-to-sip cocktail.

Sriracha-and-Wasabi Deviled Eggs

Chef Joanne Chang's mother used to make hard-boiled eggs for dinner: She would add them to the beef or chicken she was braising in soy. This is Joanne's riff on those eggs, made spicy with hot sauce and wasabi.

Daniel Boulud's Caipirinha

Sweet, tart and strong, the caipirinha is mixed with the Brazilian spirit cachaça. Cachaça is similar to rum but made from sugarcane rather than molasses.

Crab Rolls with Lemon Aioli

New Orleans chefs often drown seafood in rich, spicy sauces, but here, chef Jason McCullar simply dresses sweet crabmeat (a Louisiana staple) in lemon-scented aioli. The crab salad is wonderful piled on hot dog buns like a New England lobster roll or arranged delicately on small rolls as hors d'oeuvres.

Crispy Kale with Lemon-Yogurt Dip

"I like the idea of making a healthy kind of potato chip that's not one of those packaged, dehydrated vegetable chips," Seamus Mullen says. He roasts kale with extra-virgin olive oil and garlic until it's crunchy.

Goat Cheese Crostini with Pickled Peppers

Jim German likes to spread its fresh, creamy goat cheese on toast and top it with pickled peppers.

Mixologists around the world make this fizzy, lemony drink with gin, but New Orleans bartenders opt for cognac.

Scallops with Potato Pancakes and Caviar Sauce

Chef Vinny Dotolo found inspiration for this elegant dish by thinking about New Year's Eve classics. Both Champagne and caviar flavor the butter sauce that he spoons over seared scallops set on mini potato pancakes.

Crispy Chickpeas

To make these addictive snacks, chef Jason Travi tosses canned chickpeas with flour, coriander and cumin, then fries them. He loves popping them into his mouth while he's watching football.

Ramoncita Lopez Special

Bartender Eric Alperin mixes this refreshing, frothy cocktail for friends.

Pincho Ribs with Sherry Glaze

These ribs are named after Spanish snacks known as pinchos. Jason McCullar rubs them with a smoked-paprika spice blend, then lacquers them with a sherry-spiked glaze. For an ideal cocktail snack, look for riblets, a half portion of baby back ribs; they're especially meaty. Or ask your butcher to split your rib racks crosswise.

Vegetable Summer Rolls with Chile-Lime Dipping Sauce

These rolls, filled with bell pepper and slivers of avocado, are an effective way to get children to eat vegetables.

White Bean Dip with Parsley Oil

To give this creamy bean dip its fresh herbal flavor, Jim German drizzles it with olive oil blended with lovage leaves. Since lovage isn't always easy to find, a combination of parsley and celery leaves can mimic its flavor.

    RECOMMENDED ITINERARIES

    Itinerary ONE

Split, a town on Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast, is known for its beaches and the fortresslike complex at its center, Diocletian's Palace, erected by the Roman emperor in the 4th century. Once home to thousands, its sprawling remains include more than 200 buildings. Within its white stone walls and under its courtyards and galleries are shops, bars, cafes, cathedrals, hotels and several houses.

Check in is at 5pm at ACI Marina Split, where our base manager will be waiting to welcome you. While your yacht is being prepared for departure this is a good time to purchase any food, toiletries, or other supplies. While your yacht is being prepared for departure this is a good time to purchase any food, toiletries, or other supplies. The nearest Konzum supermarket is only a 15 minute walk from ACI Marina. We would only recommend purchasing enough for the first day or two as there are plenty of stores at each destination to stock up on food during the week.

Set sail from Split and head towards Hvar - one of the most talked about destinations in Croatia. If you’ve never been before, it won’t take you long to understand why everyone loves it here. Hvar’s 2,000+ hours of sunshine each year, buzzing nightlife and spectacular fortress with breath-taking views (follow the footpath and take the climb - you will not be disappointed) make this a place you will never forget and sorely miss the moment you leave. Hvar is home to some of Croatia’s best nightlife, and you’ll discover no end of bars and clubs that will keep you out into the small hours.

    • You can dock in nearby Palmizana Bay if the marina in Hvar Town is full. It is a short water taxi ride away from Hvar, and is often used by travellers spending the night in Hvar. This is also a cheaper option with regards to docking fees than staying in the centre of Hvar itself.

    • Harbours - approx 80 euros, you can pay in cash/card.
    • Mooring buoys - average 30-40 euros, cash only.

Wave goodbye to Hvar island, but don’t feel too bad as you’ll see it again when you dock in Stari Grad later in the week. Korcula, your next destination, is something to get excited about. Korcula packs an incredible amount of history into such a small area, and the compact Old Town bears a striking resemblance to Dubrovnik. There are plenty of small cafes and restaurants to sample a freshly caught seafood dinner, alongside ample clubs and bars that fill with an electric atmosphere as the sun goes down. Korcula is famous for being the birthplace of Marco Polo (don’t argue with the locals on this!) and you can visit the Marco Polo museum in Korcula’s Old Town. All up, Korcula makes for an intriguing and memorable stay.

    • Harbours - approx 80 euros, you can pay in cash/card.
    • Mooring buoys - average 30-40 euros, cash only.

After leaving Korcula, your next stop will be on the island of Lastovo in quaint Zaklopatica bay. Surrounded on all sides by a smattering of dark green forest, this natural bay is a perfect destination for spending a relaxed evening swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying traditional Dalmatian cuisine in small restaurants. Lastovo town is only 2km away, where you can find practicalities like ATMs and mini supermarkets. Lastovo’s medieval stone houses date back to the 14th century - all in a stunning and photogenic natural amphitheatre setting.

    • Mooring buoys - average 30-40 euros, cash only.

Sailing back up north, you head onto Vis. Another popular destination, Vis is mostly known for its military background (the whole island was a fortress), and its excursions to the nearby Blue Caves. Vis used to be known as the “Forbidden Island” and was off limits to foreigners until May of 1992. Today, Vis has an exciting military history with plenty of defenses and bunkers to discover, and is growing into a vibrant tourist destination, despite only having opened up to travellers in the past 20 years. You can visit the Blue Caves with a local agency from Vis - speak to your skipper or base manager for a recommendation. Renting a bike or scooter is a great way to get around on Vis and really take in this delightfully scenic island, streaked with vineyards, charming villages, and sun-soaked mountains amongst its military scars.

    • Harbours - approx 80 euros, you can pay in cash/card.
    • Mooring buoys - average 30-40 euros, cash only.

Make your way across the sea to nearby Hvar island, where you will get to spend the night in Stari Grad - Hvar’s second largest settlement. Stari Grad is steeped in history (it’s name even means ‘Old Town’ in English), and is an up-and-coming travel destination. You can explore Stari Grad on foot and take in its network of cobbled streets and small squares. There are no shortage of bars, cafes and restaurants along the harbourfront to enjoy as the sun goes down. From Stari Grad you can join in on an optional wine tasting excursion to a small vineyard, where you will get to sample fresh olive oil, wine and cheese,

    • Harbours - approx 80 euros, you can pay in cash/card.
    • Mooring buoys - average 30-40 euros, cash only.

From Stari Grad, continue north to Solta, an island that remains relatively untouched, in spite of its close proximity to Split and Trogir. You will spend the night in Sesula Bay on Solta - a quiet, picturesque inlet, perfect for swimming, snorkeling and relaxing. The small village of Maslinica is close by, and is known locally for its beautiful sunsets.

    • Mooring buoys - average 30-40 euros, cash only.

Round off your week on the yacht nicely on a leisurely sail back into ACI Marina in Split. If you would like to celebrate your last night out you couldn’t be in a better place. Split has no shortage of restaurants, bars and clubs for every taste. If you haven’t already spent some time in Split, you should explore the Diocletian Palace area inside Split Old Town (it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is well worth a wander). You can get lost in the backstreets of Split Old Town and the maze of market stalls spilling out into the streets.

    • Harbour - Mooring is free at Split ACI Marina for Sail Croatia Yachts.

Check out from your yacht by 8:30am, and say goodbye to your skipper and base manager. Wherever your travels take you next, bon voyage!

    Itinerary TWO

Once home to thousands, its sprawling remains include more than 200 buildings. We would only recommend purchasing enough for the first day or two as there are plenty of stores at each destination to stock up on food during the week.

Sail sail from Split and onto Supetar - the capital of Brac island. Supetar’s name is derived from St Peter, and was first used in 1423. Located on the northern side of Brac and surrounded by thick pine forest, Supetar is a great introduction to the beautiful Dalmatian coastline, and only a short hop from Split - so you can really make the most of your first night. If you would like to enjoy Croatian food at a local restaurant for your first night there are plenty of options in the town. Supetar has a population of a little over 3000 inhabitants, and is small enough that all sights can be reached by a leisurely walk. Supetar’s history goes back as far as the Roman colonisation which took place around 100BC, and there are many historical attractions like churches, quarries and museums to enjoy.

    • Harbours - approx 80 euros, you can pay in cash/card.
    • Mooring buoys - average 30-40 euros, cash only.

Move on from Supetar and enjoy stunning views of Brac and Hvar before reaching Vis. One of the most popular destinations in Dalmatia, it’s hard to believe that postcard perfect Vis island has such a long and rich military history. Here, you have a very unique opportunity to take in such beautiful scenery whilst learning about how until 1992 the whole island used to be a military base - you won’t believe the contrast. Formerly known as the “Forbidden Island” and off limits to foreigners, Vis has only been open to tourism for 20 years but is already a growing and vibrant destination that many wish to visit but even fewer have the chance. Vis’ history extends back as far as ancient times, when it was used by Stone Age settlers due to its strategic location for trade and navigation. Nowadays, you can explore the many fortresses, tunnels, and warehouses from the military period as these are now attractions for tourists. Alternatively you can hire a bike or scooter and explore Vis from the saddle - taking in the beautiful scenery along the way. Vis is famous for its wine production so make sure you sample some before you leave!

    • You can stop along the way at the Blaca Monastery on the other side of Brac island. The hermitage started out as a cave back in the 16th century, and now the monastery is set into the surrounding spectacular hillside. It’s a 30 minute hike to get up there, but the views alone are worth it. This is a real local secret and makes for an unforgettable few hours. You can go there en-route to Vis - if you have hired a skipper please speak to them if you wish to go.
    • Both Vis and Komiza/Blue Caves can be done in one day if you prefer to spend more time elsewhere on the islands (Hvar is a popular choice).

    • Harbours - approx 80 euros, you can pay in cash/card.
    • Mooring buoys - average 30-40 euros, cash only.

Leave Vis and sail around the island to Komiza. A small town on the southern edge of Vis island, Komiza is a small settlement set at the foot of a spectacular mountain range - its terracotta roofs and quaint harbour make for many gorgeous photos against such a beautiful backdrop. Komiza is the nearest town to the island of Bisevo, home to the spectacular natural phenomenon that is the Blue Caves. There are many local agencies in Komiza and Vis that offer trips to the Blue Caves and these are usually only 1-2 hours long. If you want to go to the Blue Caves, your skipper or base manager can recommend an agency. There are no shortage of things to do if you would rather stay on dry land, including dozens of military bunkers, bases, fortresses and museums. You can visit Tito’s Cave, which was Tito’s hiding place during the German raids of 1944. The cave offers rewarding views to those who make the climb.

After spending time uncovering the rich past on Croatia’s furthest inhabited island, set sail for Hvar. Famous for its lavender production, sun-soaked days, gorgeous cobbled streets, and buzzing, vibrant nightlife, Hvar never disappoints. Climb up the Spanjola Fortress and be snap-happy of the iconic view over Hvar - also a great place to watch the town bask in the orangey glow of sunset. Hvar has plenty of waterfront cafes and pathways leading to secluded local restaurants for an unforgettable evening meal. If you wish to try out Hvar’s nightlife you can head out to Carpe Diem or Nautica. Hvar boasts an enchanting atmosphere that makes it feel like anything is possible here on the sunniest island in Croatia.

Situated on the northern side of Hvar island, Stari Grad is the oldest town in Croatia, dating back to 384 BC. Its name literally means “Old Town” in Croatian. The town boasts an attractive network of narrow streets and small squares, with plenty of restaurants and small bars around the harbour. A perfect destination for a chilled out day after taking in the electric atmosphere of Hvar Town. Enjoy a wine-tasting excursion from Stari Grad, taking in a vineyard in the middle of Stari Grad’s UNESCO- protected Ager wine field, where you can sample locally made cheese, wine and olive oil. You can also visit Tvrdalj castle - a Renaissance building that features a sea-water fish pool, a dovecote and medicinal herb garden.

    • Harbours - approx 80 euros, you can pay in cash/card.
    • Mooring buoys - average 30-40 euros, cash only.

Leave the island of Hvar behind and head back for one more night on Brac in Bobovisca. Few have heard of Bobovisca, and even fewer have been, but this small village located on the island of Brac is indeed a real hidden gem. Situated in the pine-covered Vicja Luka valley, you’ll fall so in love with its peaceful, scenic surroundings and pristine turquoise water that you’ll struggle to keep this one a secret. A town of only 70 inhabitants, Bobovisca is best enjoyed with good conversation and a glass of local wine in hand as you listen to the lapping of the waves and watch the sun set.

    • Mooring buoys - average 30-40 euros, cash only.

After breakfast and a swim, make your way back to Split for your last night of the week. If you haven’t already visited Split Old Town this is a must - particularly the Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Split is the perfect place to be if you wish to make the most of your last night - there are no shortage of streets of restaurants, cafes and bars to discover and disappear into for the evening.

    • Harbour - Mooring is free at Split ACI Marina for Sail Croatia Yachts.

Check out from your yacht by 8:30am, and say goodbye to your skipper and base manager. Wherever your travels take you next, bon voyage!

We would only recommend purchasing enough for the first day or two as there are plenty of stores at each destination to stock up on food during the week.

Leave Split behind as you make your way towards Solta and overnight in tranquil Necujam Bay. Necujam Bay is famous amongst locals for the large pebble beach which sweeps across the main cove. This offers the perfect spot for a sunset stroll or early morning swim. Enjoy a drink at the beach bar or traditional Croatian cuisine in one of Necujam’s small restaurants.

    • Mooring buoys - average 30-40 euros, cash only.

Sailing on from Solta, your next stop is a choice of either docking in Rogoznica or Primosten further along the mainland. They are only 7km apart, so it is easy to see both places in one day if you wish. Rogoznica marks the divide between the northern and southern Adriatic, and offers plenty of rewarding scenery to those who wish to pay it a visit. There are several natural attractions in Rogoznica, including dozens of beaches, and the unique “Dragon’s Eye” lake formation. Located on an unbelievably pretty peninsula, Primosten is rich in Mediterranean culture and heritage and is often a real highlight. The Old Town’s narrow, cobbled streets lined with dark green window shutters and traditional houses are a haven to explore. For nightlife options, Rogoznica and Primosten both have many bars and cocktail bars to choose from, not forgetting the Admiral nightclub (Rogoznica) and famous Aurora nightclub (Primosten).

    • Harbours - approx 80 euros, you can pay in cash/card.
    • Mooring buoys - average 30-40 euros, cash only.

You leave the sea behind and head inland to reach your next stop - Skradin, for the Krka Waterfalls. Krka is a stunning National Park and is often overlooked by travellers in favour of the better known Plitvice Lakes but it rivals Plitvice with its stunning waterfall formations and Mediterranean trees and plants. The National Park status was created to protect the Krka river and its 7 waterfalls, and Krka National Park is the quieter of the two so you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings and winding footpaths that will take you to no end of photogenic views. Unlike at Plitvice, you can swim at Krka, so don’t forget your swimming gear!

    • Mooring buoys - average 30-40 euros, cash only.

Depart from the beautiful Krka Waterfalls and head to the island of Zlarin. Refreshingly, there are no cars on Zlarin and it is forbidden to drive, making this a perfect, peaceful location to explore by bike or on foot. There are several restaurants and cafes in port if you feel like dining out.

    • Harbours - approx 80 euros, you can pay in cash/card.
    • Mooring buoys - average 30-40 euros, cash only.

From Zlarin you’ll head to Kaprije, which boasts striking pine forests, and a small population of only 150 inhabitants. The ban on driving is also in place here, so you can make the most of spending time in another place with a peaceful and rejuvenating environment. Kaprije is famous for its grape and olive production, so don’t forget to sample the fresh local wine and olive oil while you’re there.

    • Mooring buoys - average 30-40 euros, cash only.

Leave the hidden gems of Kaprije and Zlarin behind and sail down south, taking in the stunning coastline before arriving at Sesula on the island of Solta. Here you can choose to dock in secluded Sesula bay or in the nearby village of Maslinica, both located at the northern end of the island. Maslinica is known amongst locals for its beautiful sunsets and Sesula bay is the perfect place to relax, sunbathe and swim.

    • Mooring buoys - average 30-40 euros, cash only.

Split is just a short hop away after your time in peaceful Sesula or Maslinica, and you can make your way back at your leisure. If you haven’t spent time in Split before the sail, make sure you take a stroll around Split Old Town and visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site that is the Diocletian’s Palace.

    • Harbour - Mooring is free at Split ACI Marina for Sail Croatia Yachts.

Check out from your yacht by 8:30am, and say goodbye to your skipper and base manager. Wherever your travels take you next, bon voyage!

    Where does the skipper sleep?

Normally in one of the cabins. If these are full then they will often sleep in the salon of the yacht has a couch that folds into a bed for the night.

If you would like to hire a yacht for a different length of time, please submit a request through our Yacht Charter Enquiry Form and we will aim to accommodate you.

What ages are suitable for a Yacht Charter?

All ages are welcome onboard our yachts although practically it is recommended children are able to swim and additional considerations be taken into account such as moving around the yachts, moving booms and ropes, slippery surfaces, boarding and crossing from shore to the yacht. Risks are clearly visible and additional precautions should be taken with children onboard particularly for non-swimmers. For all children onboard we recommend you bring with you well fitted children life jackets and harness with tether system. Remember it is hot in July and August so wearing a life jacket may cause overheating and children to be uncomfortable. Inflatable life jackets with a tether maybe a more suitable option for children. We also recommend the use of nets which go around the yacht, particularly for bookings with children aged 6 and under, and we can organise this at the time of booking

What do I do if something goes wrong with my booking process?

Please contact us either via our Online Contact Form or [email protected] and let us know your problem with as much information as you can.

Laurence Fishburne and Gina Torres Split After 15 Years of Marriage : 'There Are No Bad Guys Here'

A longtime celebrity couple has called it quits.

Laurence Fishburne and Gina Torres have separated after 15 years of marriage, Torres revealed in a statement to ET.

“With heavy hearts, Laurence and I quietly separated and began the dissolution of our marriage in the early fall of last year," the 48-year-old Suits actress shared. "There are no bad guys here. Only a love story with a different ending than either one of us had expected"

"Happily, however, our family remains intact and we will continue to raise our daughter together with love and joy and awe," she added. "As well as raise each other up with respect and love and the continued understanding that we’re in this together, if not side by side."

A rep for Fishburne, 56, had no comment.
