Flamingo Cocktail
THIS PAGE MAY CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS. PLEASE READ MY DISCLOSURE.
The Flamingo Cocktail is a reddish pink drink that cries out for an umbrella and any other kitschy cocktail accessories you have on hand. It tastes like citrus and berry with an underlying sweetness.
This is one of those rare drinks that makes good use of apricot brandy’s cloying sweetness. Here, it just rounds out the other flavors and balances the lime and the citrus, herbal notes from the gin. It’s a perfect drink for the poolside, or whenever you’re wishing you could be by a pool.
- 1/2 ounce apricot brandy
- 1 1/2 ounces gin
- Juice of 1/2 limes
- 1 teaspoon grenadine syrup
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in all ingredients. Shake until chilled, and strain into a cocktail glass.
Shake all ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.

This is just one recipe for a Pink Flamingo, the others I've seen are quite a bit different. UV Vodka did create a martini-like Pink Flamingo that is very similar to this one in taste when it released UV Lemonade (a pink, lemonade-flavored vodka).
Other versions include vanilla schnapps, grenadine, orange juice and cream or coconut and pineapple rums, Sprite, lemonade, grenadine and simple syrup. As varied as all the Pink Flamingos out there are, they're all great summer drinks and perfect for parties.

Pink Flamingo Punch Cocktail
My love for all things tropical is continuing to reach new heights, especially now that it’s prime summer cocktail time. I’ve whipped up a PINK FLAMINGO PUNCH cocktail that’s the perfect beverage for all your summer party occasions! Plus, it’s easy to make, refreshing, and absolutely delicious!
My trick? Using Frozen BACARDI® Mixers! You’ll find them in the freezer aisle, and I always like keeping a few of the flavors (there are seven!) on hand for mixing up easy cocktails all summer long. The Piña Colada is my favorite flavor, I will admit, as it reminds me of a tropical beach vacation. So I used it in my pink flamingo punch cocktail!
Whether it’s a bachelorette party in need of the perfect signature cocktail or just a backyard chat session with your girlfriends, the pink flamingo punch cocktail will be your new favorite summer beverage. If you’re going to beat the heat, might as well do it with something that’s delicious and keeps the party going, right? The sweet Piña Colada combines with grapefruit juice and frozen fruit to create the perfect blend of flavors.
One of my favorite fruity cocktail hacks is keeping sliced fruit bagged and frozen so when the occasion calls for some pink flamingo punch, you’ll be ready. You can use this idea for all fruity drinks. Watermelon and strawberry are easy to slice and bag. Then mix it all up and you’re ready to garnish! Whether it’s a slice of watermelon, a sprig of mint (my favorite), a strawberry on a stir stick, or a festive flamingo straw, give your drink a fancy finishing touch. That’s my favorite part!
Pink Flamingo Punch Cocktail
Ingredients
- 1 Frozen BACARDI® Mixer Piña Colada
- 1 cup rum
- 2 cups watermelon, cubed
- 1/2 cup strawberries
- 1 cup ruby red grapefruit juice
- 1/4 cup lime juice
Instructions
Blend all ingredients together and garnish with a mint sprig, fruit slice, or festive flamingo straw!
The next time you want to impress your friends and family, blend them up a pink flamingo punch. You might find that even the guys will be asking for a refill! It’s that good! Plus, it’s cute and pink, what could be more perfect for summer? If you have a large party, create several batches of this cocktail for a large punch bowl and float frozen fruit slices to keep it chilled all night long!
Check out the other flavors of Frozen BACARDI® Mixers here (like Tangy Margarita, Sweet Strawberry Daiquiri and of course, my fave – tropical Piña Colada)!
