Liqueur (15% vol. and up) can be kept at room temperature if they have 15% vol. or more. That's why bartenders don't need enormous fridges in their bars. In time there might occur marginal changes regarding the color of the liqueur but don't worry too much about that.

This time there was no question about my age, nor was there later on that evening, in the cocktail lounge or anywhere else.

Warren looked at the door through which Joe and Max had exited from the cocktail lounge.

It should, therefore, be just about right for a cocktail lounge on the Dawn City; and she hadn't had a chance to wear it yet.

She wondered how so many people in the cocktail lounge happened to know Quillan by name.

Paul’s Cocktail Lounge

Paul Sevigny, de facto New York arbiter of nightlife, chose The Roxy to house his latest hit. Paul’s Cocktail Lounge, facing 6 th Avenue, is an intimate lounge serving craft cocktails on polished silver trays.

Delightfully, the staff sports uniforms by fashion icon and actress Chloe Sevigny. Latin American Palm Beach panache and insouciance are décor inspirations, as is the exuberant interior design of Dorothy Draper. She’d love the hand-painted hibiscus wallpaper, patterned mirrors and marble that meet with splashes of emerald and raspberry, or the tropical art by New York painter Josh Smith.

On any given night, a rotating cast of NYC’s renowned DJs and music talent spin, along with international guest appearances. Paul’s is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10pm until late, entry to the lounge is by doorman’s discretion.

Murray's Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge Ratings and Reviews

Murray's still is simply the finest dining experience in downtown Minneapolis. The food, service, and ambiance has always been exceptional. So many years on 6th street in Minneapolis, it is truly an icon and landmark of the downtown Minneapolis dining scene.

Best steakhouse experience that I have had. Hands down my fav!

We went to Murray’s for our 22nd anniversary and had a wonderful evening. The food was exceptional and the service was even better. My wife has some food allergies and they were extremely good in working with her.

Murray's is one of those special places that we enjoy on a rare occasion. They never disappoint! The tenderloin is the best cut, in my opinion.

Food was phenomenal. We already made reservations for the next time we are in town.

We were so impressed by the service and attention to detail throughout the meal. It was a memorable dining experience that was personalized to our requests. This was primarily due to our waiter Ricardo who is a true professional and the tradition of fine dining at Murray’s. We were treated like family there and would highly recommend it to others. It is worth every penny for those great steaks and friendly staff/owners.

Murray's is an excellent choice when in Minneapolis they have excellent food and a good atmosphere. The history behind the name and restaurant and the fact that it is still in the Murray family and not a cookie cutter chain speaks volumes!!

Great service, amazing food and wonderful ambiance - as always!

Went to Minneapolis with a colleague for a seminar and had a terrific meal at Murray's. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable, available without being invasive and overly obvious. The bartender mixed a nice Manhattan. Not all do. For entrees, we both had filets, done precisely as ordered, and extraordinary. Murray's still has it, and won't disappoint.

I was seated directly next to the water station (the water station touched my seating area). All throughout lunch, wait staff refilled water and clanged around.

The food was delicious, the wine was very reasonably priced and the atmosphere was great. Truly enjoyed it.

Great food. The service was slow. The wine is an excellent value. The best value is the sharing the larger steaks for the whole table.

Kind of disappointing. I had the Original Steak sandwich and the steak was cut too thick. It was hard to eat and I really wouldn't ever order it again. Also not the most tender so when you bite in the whole big chunk just pulls right out of the sandwich. The toasted "sourdough" was not particularly good quality.

I know they can do better so I would go back, but this was not impressive.

We had the Chateaubriand for Two. We were not wowed by the tenderloin. Au Gratins were somewhat under cooked. Dessert was delicious! Service was fantastic and would definitely request our server again!

A truly excellent experience! Sheri provided a service experience we haven't seen for years: within minutes it felt like a warm friend had established a goal of styling us to the max. We had the steak for two: I'm 60 years old and I've eaten steak all over the world and it's the best I've ever had. We've been wanting to experience Murray's for years and now only a few months at the most will pass before we're back.

Food was delish! Our server worked hard at many tables so was sometimes hard to get his attention, but he was great.

Fantastic experience yet again. It's always a pleasure to dine @ Murray's!

Great meal with friends. Love coming to a restaurant with a history here in Mpls. It's been around for many years, and you can always count on the food being off the charts.

I seem to visit Murry's about twice per year. This visit elicited food that was not nearly as good as my last visit - Maybe just an off night. Sides were good - The hash browns are a "don't miss" item. however my bone-in filet was over-cooked. I ordered medium rare and received a solid medium. It's a shame to kill an outstanding cut with over-cooking.

This place has an old-school vibe, but not the old school stuffiness. Nice setup for conversation, outstanding service and fabulous food at decent prices.

One of the best restaurants in Miineapolis when it opened in 1946 and still is today!

This is definitely an OLD SCHOOL restaurant. We started at the bar while we waited for our table. We ordered drinks and just a we received our drinks, the table was ready. Our excellent bar server carried our drinks for us. The martini's were GOOD and I loved that they had my blue cheese stuffed olives. Our dinner server was very knowledgeable about the menu. We were there to celebrate my Uncle's 90th birthday, so I wanted him to enjoy a great meal! I had the oyster's Rockfeller, which were tasty, but not outstanding. My uncle and friend had salads. My uncle and friend ordered the butter steak for two. It is a very thick cut of beef. Although they ordered it medium rare, it came out rare, borderline raw. The server sliced the steak and brought it back to the kitchen for more fire. The meet came back medium to medium well. We did not say anything, but the meat was not that super tender steak we thought it would be. I had the bone in porterhouse. While tasty, it was not super tender, which I would have expected. We did have a good bottle of wine with dinner, but most of the better bottles of wine are in the $100-200 range. We finished the evening with several to go boxes and a complimentary dessert for my uncle. Overall, the service was excellent, the food was average. We went to Manny's Steak House a few years ago, and the steaks were better, but much louder dining room. The real surprise was a Minneapolis neighborhood restaurant called Jax, which by far had one of the best filet mignon steaks I have ever had the pleasure of eating. My friend used the men's rest room when we arrived around 7:30 PM and he said it was not clean and up to the expectations of a caliber restaurant like Murrays. Nice atmosphere, but if I was going to spend $450 for three people again, I would want a more tender steak.

My husband and I dined at Murray’s to celebrate my birthday, on November 4th 2017. We were in great hands with our wonderful server Ricardo! He and his assistant Frank provided “AWESOME” service. Thank You Both for a “Magnificent” evening!!

Food was amazing, service was lacking from the server to the uninterested sommelier. Wine experience was tough to say the least and server was not interested in keeping table clean of empty drinks and dirty plates from the beginning courses til the end, after dessert and coffee.

food is good, but expensive; not quiet; service is excellent

Our waiter was Ricardo and he was awesome ! Very informative about both wines and menu! And personable!0

It was lovely as always.

Amazing food and date with my husband! The filet and brussel sprouts were amazing and I would recommend the raspberry pie for dessert.

Vintage era steak house. Carnivores will be happy. We will be back.

Excellent food and drinks and our service was splendid. It is a la carte and pricey, so keep that in mind when getting a second or third soft drink, etc

My husband and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary at Murray’s. Excellent meal and service. We cannot wait to go back.

25thh anniversary dinner. Always a special occasion at Murray's. When I made the reservation, I put in the notes that it was for our 25th. When we arrived, we received a hardy "congratulations" and were sat at a quiet table. Our server, "Slim", was very attentive yet not overbearing. Nice. He took our bar order and brought us a basket of delicious breads and those famous garlic toasts. So ono!

We always have a great experience at Murrays! Great food, drinks and service! I always get a fish or seafood dish and it is always done perfectly. Love the garlic bread too. I had the cheesecake with the homemade toffee bits and it was fantastic! We will continue to recommend Murray's to our friends and family.

Our meal was excellent. The quality and presentation of the meal was outstanding. The best part of the meal was the service from our server Ricardo. He made sure we understood the menu and explained all the items in detail, and made sure we were well taken care of. I would highly recommend Murray’s to anyone!!

Excellent food and service. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had.

The service was fine, and the valet parking curbside was unexpected, but the food was only average at best. Nothing remarkable about the $100+ Silver Butterknife Steak. Maynard's $18 sirloin has much more flavor. Someone needs to give the chef a basket of Lawrys seasoning. We went 30 years without Murray's and will not miss them.

Our waiter Nate was awesome. Great customer experience.

We drove from Bismarck ND and this was phenomenal. Everything about our dining was beyond word!! Love

A friend recommended Murray’s it was fabulous

Great service and great food. We had a wonderful evening.

Downtown hotel opens cocktail lounge and breakfast buffet

A hotel in downtown Grand Rapids has opened a new “culinary destination.”

AHC+Hospitality said yesterday that Rendezvous is now open at the Amway Grand Plaza and serves a breakfast buffet in the mornings and becomes a cocktail lounge in the evenings.

Breakfast foods are sourced from West Michigan farms.

The evening menu features cocktails and small plate food options.

Grand Rapids musicians will also perform live in the space each night.

A spokesperson for AHC+Hospitality said Rendezvous is "brand new" and replaces the hotel's Garden Court Lounge.

The general manager of Rendezvous is Danielle Griswold.

“We wanted to create a comfortable space for the breakfast crowd, while offering a fun, social environment for cocktails before or after dinner in the heart of downtown,” said George Aquino, VP and managing director, AHC+Hospitality.

AHC+Hospitality is a hospitality management company with a portfolio of major hotels and restaurants operating under several brands, including Marriott International, Hilton Hotels and Resorts, Preferred Hotels and Resorts, Hyatt Hotel Corporation, Wolfgang Puck Worldwide and Ruth’s Hospitality Group.
